What's the difference between the different CLI ink packs? Thanks.

Hello, there are 5 different multipacks available to purchase. The two at the top of the page contain 2 blacks ( PGI570 and CLI571) and each of the 3 colours the difference between the two is one contains the XL inks and the cheaper one contains the standard-sized ink cartridges. Then we have the 2 packs that contain only one black (CLI571) in choices of both standard and XL versions and the very last pack only contains the 3 colour inks (Cyan, Magenta, and Yellow) but also contains a pack of paper for printing photographs. If you need any help choosing or if you need more clarification on the packs, please let me know!
Q
Please can you tell me, why each of the different colour Canon inks prints very different page amounts? thanks, Mandy.

Hi Mandy, thanks for getting in touch about Canon inks. It does look a little confusing that they are all different page yields, doesn't it! I believe that the reason each one has a different number of page prints is that in normal printing some of the colours are used more than others when being combined to create other colours so Canon has increased the amount of ink in the colours that are used the most and reduced the amount of ink in the colours that aren't used as often. I hope this explains things! Thanks again for your question!
