Hi, thanks for your question. It's normally caused by an issue with a drum or photoconductor unit, however it can also be the imaging unit or fuser unit issue. Unfortunately there's no definitive way of working out which one it is. It's a bit trial and error but the best thing would be to try and replace the photoconductor first and see if that corrects the issue. If it's not that, it could be the imaging unit. Fuser units can normally only be replaced by a technician in Lexmark machines as they're hard to buy replacements.

We have a CX510de printer which makes faint lines from top to bottom of the page and adds some colour shade to one side of the paper when it prints. I checked the supplies function and everything is OK except the printer is reporting that the Imaging Kit is "Very Low". What exactly do we need to change, please?

Hi there, if your printer is printing lines on the page this could be caused by a dirty or faulty/damaged print head. Be careful that you haven't removed the protective seals incorrectly as this can also be the cause of the problem. I would advise speaking to our customer care team on 0345 365 3605 or [email protected] and they will be able to help locate the route of the problem for you and advise on the next best step.

Hi there, this issue can be caused by low toner cartridges. So I would first check to see if your toner cartridge levels are low, if not, or if you have recently bought the cartridges, I would speak with a Lexmark technician. Hi there, it's very confusing as even Lexmark couldn't give me the answer about what you get exactly but the box containing the item has a picture of the whole unit so it looks like you get everything shown in the picture on our website.

Hi there, I don't believe you would specifically get pink stripes down the page. There would be 4 imaging units (one for each colour) and it'd be possible for the magenta part failing which would cause the issue.
