What Samsung C460FW toner is right for my needs?

Available in two different print capacities, Samsung Xpress C460FW toner cartridges are relatively straightforward to choose from. The cartridges produce an estimated 1000 prints per colour toner and 1500 prints per black toner. However, the black toner can also be purchased in a cost-saving twin pack offering double the number of pages.
When it comes time to restock your printer, the cartridge references that you’ll need are the CLT-406S range. We also stock every maintenance part that you will need as your printer demands replacement.

Greetings! My printer is Samsung C460 SERIES sec30DA7978980. I have just bought a black toner, but the remaining three colours of toner are down to 1%. I am only using black, but the printer won't function unless I install the other, three colours of toner. Which toner combo should I select for the best value? Would you also please confirm the correct reference number of toner for my machine?

Hi there, thanks for contacting us with your question. That's correct, unfortunately, a printer requires all colours and the black cartridge to have toner or it will not print. The correct cartridge reference for the Samsung Xpress C460FW printer is the CLT-K406S for black, CLT-C406S for cyan, CLT-M406S for magenta and CLT-Y406S for Yellow. The best way to save money is to buy the pack containing all 4 toners which save around £17 - £20 compared to buying them on their own, however as mentioned earlier, if you don't need the black toner the only way to buy them without black is to buy them individually. Have a look at the vouchers page and we may have discounts for you to use.

Hi John, if you remove your toner cartridges from the front of the printer, the was toner collector / cartridge is located on the left of where the toner cartridges were and along the vertical inside. you should be able to slide it out from there. If you're still having trouble you can see the visual instructions on the user manual here: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/SL-C460FW/XAA You can find it on the maintenance category under 'replacing the waste toner container'. Hi Amir, the cartridges on the following page are the correct cartridges for the Samsung Xpress C460FW printer. Please could you tell me how to change the imaging unit in my Samsung SF-C460FW Laser printer?

Hi there, replacing the imaging unit on your Samsung SF-C460FW is quite straightforward. Firstly you need to unplug your printer and then open the front flap to reveal the toner cartridges. Carefully remove each of the toner cartridges and set them to one side (you may wish to place them onto a piece of paper in case any loose toner falls out). Next, remove the waste cartridge found on the left-hand side of the printer (it's quite thin and has the colour indicators on it vertically). That should slide right out. You will then see the imaging unit sat inside at the back of the printer, it has a large green cylinder but please be sure not to touch that on the new unit. The imaging unit should easily slide forwards if you pull the black base of it. You will then be able to slide the new unit back in and then also the waste unit and toner cartridges.
