This is the original HP 142A Black toner (also known as the W1420A or HP LaserJet MFP M140W toner). The box contains 1 black toner cartridge and is able to print up to 950 pages before you will need to replace it again. Order before 5:30 pm on any week day for next-day courier delivery.
The HP 142A black toner cartridges will work correctly with the HP LaserJet M110, HP LaserJet M140W and WE printer models. This cartridge is a genuine HP product designed to work perfectly and produce great results each time you print. There is s standard 6-month manufacturer warranty with all HP cartridges.

How long does the HP 142A last and how many pages will it print?

The HP 142A toner will print up to a maximum of 950 pages during normal use or print coverage. To get the highest number of pages printed you will need to print at a 5% page coverage which is equivalent to 3 paragraphs of basic text per page.
Providing that your page coverage remains at 5% and you don't print any blocks of shade or images, your cartridge will last approximately 38 days if you printed an average of 25 pages each day.
The printer models that this toner cartridge is intended for have a use rate of 100 to 1000 pages per month which means you should be printing a minimum of 4 pages per day on average and the cartridge would last 237 days.

If your product becomes faulty
  • Original Cartridges: Return for a refund or replacement for up to 12 months.
  • Compatible cartridges: Return for a refund or replacement up to 3 years.
Please contact us a soon as possible to request a returns number and arrange a free collection.
If you have ordered printer paper and it has arrived damaged, please refuse the delivery and let us know right away so we can arrange a replacement to be sent.
If you change your mind - 30 Days to Return:
  • You have 14 days from delivery to arrange a return and an additional 16 days to return the items to us once arranged.
  • Ordered incorrectly? We’ll provide a returns number and address for you to send to.
  • Wrong item arrived – We’ll arrange a free collection of the incorrect product(s) and send a replacement.
After 14 days, you may still be able to return the product, but a 20% restocking fee will apply. After 30 days, returns are at our discretion.

According to the safety data sheet the HP 142A (W1420A) toner contains the following:

Amorphous silica, Ferrite, Styrene acrylate copolymer

but unfortunately there's no info from HP around what amounts are in the cartridges.

I bought a HP 142A black toner from you to my HP Laser Jet M110 we printer, but it does not work. When I go to HP support they say I should have a HP 141A toner. Is there a difference, and why does the 142 cartridge not work?

For any UK machine the HP 142a is the correct toner cartridge for the HP LaserJet M110we printer. The HP 141A is meant for machines manufactured / purchased in the USA. It's extremely rare for an OEM HP cartridge not to work unless there's a possible region issue (we only sell cartridges for the UK region). I will ask one of the team to get in touch with you and try to work out what's causing the issue.
