HP 142A toner

Printers that use HP 142A toner are single colour mono laser printers, only able to print in black. This means that you only need to replace one cartridge and cartridge prices are typically some of the lowest around. If you use your printer regularly, you might find that HP 142A toners run out quite often. This is because they are able to print up to 950 pages before needing to be replaced which is quite low for anyone who uses their printer daily.
This is why we offer a compatible alternative to the HP 142A toner. Our high quality compatible will produce crisp black prints that rival the original toner, and also offer more than double the number of printed pages. However, bear in mind that compatible cartridges won't work in your machine if you own a HP 'E' model printer or if you've installed HP+.

What are HP 'E' Printers

HP 'E' model printers are printer models that end with an 'E'. For example HP LaserJet M104we. HP 'E' printers are sold at a reduced price but come pre-installed with HP+ software. HP+ software will only allow original HP cartridges to be used in the printer, preventing the use of compatibles. Whilst the printer would be cheaper to buy than none 'E' models, you are agreeing to not use compatible cartridges when you buy one.

Will HP 142A compatibles work in my printer?

Compatible 142A cartridges can be used in a range of HP printer models that don't have an 'E' in the model and providing HP+ sofware has not been installed on the printer. Compatible 142A toner cartridges will work in the HP LaserJet M110w and HP LaserJet M140w printers, but will not work in the HP LaserJet M104we and HP LaserJet M140we printers.

We want you to have the best experience possible when shopping with TonerGiant. With over 20 years’ expertise, our friendly support team is here to help get you printing again quickly. You can arrange to return a product through our returns form, or by calling us on 0345 365 3605.
If your product becomes faulty
  • Original Cartridges: Return for a refund or replacement for up to 12 months.
  • Compatible cartridges: Return for a refund or replacement up to 3 years.
Please contact us a soon as possible to request a returns number and arrange a free collection.
If you change your mind - 30 Days to return:
  • You have 14 days from delivery to arrange a return and an additional 16 days to return the items to us once arranged (30 Days in total).
  • Ordered incorrectly? We’ll provide a returns number and address for you to send to.
  • Wrong item arrived – We’ll arrange a free collection of the incorrect product(s) and send a replacement.
After 14 days, you may still be able to return the product, but a 20% restocking fee will apply. After 30 days, returns are at our discretion.
Please note: Printer cartridges must be returned unopened, unused, with all seals intact and in a resalable condition, or returns may not be accepted.
