Hi and thanks for asking a question. I completely understand, it's a very difficult choice with so many products listed on the page! I'm not sure what HP was thinking but I'm sure each ink cartridge has its purpose! We list the products on the page in the order of multi-packs, then blacks, then colour inks and then maintenance or extra use cartridges like photo or gloss. We also sell our own brand compatible inks which are listed above the original inks in each section. So for example if you're just looking for a black ink cartridge then scroll to the heading with the title black ink cartridges and underneath you will see compatible inks, then HP inks and there are multiple different sizes so each print a different amount of pages which you can see listed next to the image.
