It's illegal for the printer manufacturer to void any warranty if you use a compatible. For a standard warranty (the 12-month warranty you get when the printer is new) if you use a compatible and it causes an issue in the printer then the manufacturer would still have to repair or replace the printer for you.

However, it's a little different for extended warranties (purchased in addition or separately from the printer). Manufacturers will often refuse to repair the printer and will charge extra for the repair if you've used a compatible in a printer with an extended warranty.

To counter that, we offer our own guarantee that if one of our compatibles causes your printer to break, we'll send our own repair technician and if it can't be repaired, we'll replace your printer at no cost to you. I've worked in the industry for 12 years now and I've only ever seen that happen maybe twice.
