Unfortunately, we don't sell the cartridge on its own.

I have had my Selphy CP500 for many years. The problem is there is always paper left over when the cartridge runs out. So, why can't I buy a cartridge on its own? It seems to me to be a deliberate policy.

Hi there, thank you for your question. I'm not sure why, but for every Canon Selphy printer, Canon decided not to sell paper and cartridges separately. If I were to guess the reason, it's probably because the printers were loss leaders, and the only way to make a profit was to bundle cartridges and paper together.
