Is this a toner cartridge? My printer is telling me to replace the toner in my HL-2035 Brother printer.

No, this is not a toner cartridge, this is a Brother drum unit. A drum unit is what fuses the toner onto the paper when printing. A toner cartridge is what holds the toner powder.
