When printing the toner smudges on the left hand side of each page and it is also less dense in that area. It is also more apparent on the label sheets we use. Does it require a new fuser unit?

Does this printer need toner and an imaging unit?

Hi, to operate, a printer does need both the toner cartridge and imaging unit to be installed, but your printer will let you know when to replace the imaging unit separately from the toner and you won't have to replace the imaging unit every time you replace a toner cartridge.

Hi - I have a Samsung Xpress M2835DW laser printer. It has stopped printing and has a red light on. The manual suggests it may need an imaging unit. How can I tell and if so will your MLT12116 unit fit? Thanks. Alvin.

Hi Alvin, thanks for your question. If you've checked all the other possibilities in your manual then it does sound like the imaging unit needs to be replaced. I need to print decals and the standard Samsung toner is not producing correct results. The decal fades on firing and I think this may be down to lower iron content in the toner due to environmental requirements. Can you recommend an alternative?

Hi, I had a look around and found some advice that mentioned using solid ink for decals. Solid ink printers are made by Xerox so you would need to get a new printer. Unfortunately, there wouldn't be any other option apart from what you can already buy for your current Samsung printer.
