How can I save money on HP Photosmart C4280 ink?

As well as opting for compatible cartridges, we do offer another way to save money and that is to opt for XL cartridges. They may be an investment upfront but they can offer a big saving for those who print a lot. You'll receive a higher number of pages per cartridge (the No.350XL ink can print up to 1,000 pages compared to the standard 200) and this reduces the print cost per page. Unlike toner, ink does dry out so XL cartridges are only recommended if you use your printer often.

What is the returns policy and how do I return a cartridge?
We want you to have the best experience possible when shopping with TonerGiant. With over 20 years’ expertise, our friendly support team is here to help get you printing again quickly. You can arrange to return a product through our returns form, or by calling us on 0345 365 3605.
If your product becomes faulty
  • Original Cartridges: Return for a refund or replacement for up to 12 months.
  • Compatible cartridges: Return for a refund or replacement up to 3 years.
Please contact us a soon as possible to request a returns number and arrange a free collection.
If you change your mind - 30 Days to return:
  • You have 14 days from delivery to arrange a return and an additional 16 days to return the items to us once arranged (30 Days in total).
  • Ordered incorrectly? We’ll provide a returns number and address for you to send to.
  • Wrong item arrived – We’ll arrange a free collection of the incorrect product(s) and send a replacement.
After 14 days, you may still be able to return the product, but a 20% restocking fee will apply. After 30 days, returns are at our discretion.
Please note: Printer cartridges must be returned unopened, unused, with all seals intact and in a resalable condition, or returns may not be accepted.

How much does delivery cost and how long will it take?

Order before 5:30 pm on any working day and so long as the products are in-stock, your order will be delivered on the next-working-day.

I have an HP Photosmart printer but recently I cannot get compatible cartridges to work in it. I know the printer is working so it must be the cartridge that is causing the trouble. I bought the cartridges from a local supplier with whom I have been dealing for years and they offered me some tips but none have worked, even though I have used these same inks for years with no trouble. I would purchase from you if I was assured that they would work. I live in the Irish Republic so returning the cartridges would be expensive if they were unsuccessful. Thanks, Helen.

Hi Helen, the issues are caused by the software of the ink cartridges being put out of date by printer updates. It's a very common occurrence of late as the main printer manufacturers are making it harder and harder by updating the software of the printer very regularly. Unfortunately, there's no way of knowing if they will work correctly until you get hold of some cartridges and try them in the printer. I'm sorry I couldn't give you a clearer idea of whether our cartridges will work for you but we do have a 3-year guarantee for any issues that you may have.

The choice is entirely yours, although I can give you valid reasons for both parts. The genuine option will have the highest possible quality, and even though this is a strong factor the compatible cartridges are also at a very good standard and come much cheaper to put your mind at ease they have a 3-year guarantee included.
