To get the toner and the drum cartridge into your Brother MFC-9650 printer, you'll firstly need to connect them together outside the printer before you slide them back in. The toner connects to the drum where the green cylinder goes across the drum (be very careful not to touch the green cylinder as it will damage the drum).
There is a small blue lever on the right side of the drum and you may need to move the lever to make it connect correctly. Also make sure that all protective covers are removed from the toner before you connect them. Once connected they should easily slide into the printer. If you need any more help, let me know.
