Hi there, you will only need to replace the imaging unit once the printer tells you the current one is at the end of its life. Imaging units usually last a lot longer than the toners and so don't need replacing each time you replace a toner.

What does it mean by "return program" in the description?
Do you collect the current / used imaging unit at the same time as you deliver the new one?

Hi, Lexmark's return program is the use and return recycle scheme created by Lexmark. They include a return bag in the box with a new cartridge to encourage customers to send empty cartridges back to them. We have a separate recycling scheme for this which you can find here:
Is it the same thing as a toner cartridge? I have been asked to order a toner cartridge for Lexmark MS312DN mono.
