How long will the Samsung ML-1640 toner last?

Both the Samsung original MLT-D1082 and our own compatible MLT-D1082S can print up to 1,500 pages per cartridge. This can last days to months depending on your page coverage. For instance, if you’re only printing 10 pages per day at 20% coverage, one toner cartridge can easily last you over a month. If your printing needs are higher, you may want to purchase either our Samsung MLT-P1082A twin pack.

What is the returns policy and how do I return a cartridge?
We want you to have the best experience possible when shopping with TonerGiant. With over 20 years’ expertise, our friendly support team is here to help get you printing again quickly. You can arrange to return a product through our returns form, or by calling us on 0345 365 3605.
If your product becomes faulty
  • Original Cartridges: Return for a refund or replacement for up to 12 months.
  • Compatible cartridges: Return for a refund or replacement up to 3 years.
Please contact us a soon as possible to request a returns number and arrange a free collection.
If you change your mind - 30 Days to return:
  • You have 14 days from delivery to arrange a return and an additional 16 days to return the items to us once arranged (30 Days in total).
  • Ordered incorrectly? We’ll provide a returns number and address for you to send to.
  • Wrong item arrived – We’ll arrange a free collection of the incorrect product(s) and send a replacement.
After 14 days, you may still be able to return the product, but a 20% restocking fee will apply. After 30 days, returns are at our discretion.
Please note: Printer cartridges must be returned unopened, unused, with all seals intact and in a resalable condition, or returns may not be accepted.

How much does delivery cost and how long will it take?

You have not understood my question. I do not need a toner cartridge for an ML-1640 unless it fits an ML-1630 machine which is what I have.

Hi there, I did understand but maybe wasn't very clear in my response, the cartridge you need is the ML-D1630A, which has been discontinued (not the same as the one that fits a 1640 machine). Sorry if I wasn't clear before!

The lights are flashing on the paper jam on my ml-1640. Does this mean I need toner and is this the same as a print cartridge or do I need both?

Hi there, I've found the instructions manual for your printer and depending on which light is blinking and its colour means different things. Here are some examples: If it's the light directly above the big cancel button (middle light) and it's blinking red or solid red then it means the toner cartridge needs to be replaced. If it's the light at the top and it's orange, it means paper jam. If it's red, it means there's a more serious error with the printer like a cover error, fuser error, or software error which I'm unsure how to fix.
