What does the transfer belt for my Oki printer do and will I need to buy it when I replace toner cartridges?

The Oki C8600N transfer belt is the part of the printer that statically attracts the toner to a thin film on the belt in the shape of what is being printed and then when the belt rolls over the paper the opposite static charge places the toner on the page. This particular belt should be ok for at least 80,000 prints so you'll only need to replace it once your printer indicates so.
