What is the returns policy and how do I return a cartridge?
We want you to have the best experience possible when shopping with TonerGiant. With over 20 years’ expertise, our friendly support team is here to help get you printing again quickly. You can arrange to return a product through our returns form, or by calling us on 0345 365 3605.
If your product becomes faulty
  • Original Cartridges: Return for a refund or replacement for up to 12 months.
  • Compatible cartridges: Return for a refund or replacement up to 3 years.
Please contact us a soon as possible to request a returns number and arrange a free collection.
If you change your mind - 30 Days to return:
  • You have 14 days from delivery to arrange a return and an additional 16 days to return the items to us once arranged (30 Days in total).
  • Ordered incorrectly? We’ll provide a returns number and address for you to send to.
  • Wrong item arrived – We’ll arrange a free collection of the incorrect product(s) and send a replacement.
After 14 days, you may still be able to return the product, but a 20% restocking fee will apply. After 30 days, returns are at our discretion.
Please note: Printer cartridges must be returned unopened, unused, with all seals intact and in a resalable condition, or returns may not be accepted.

I'd like to ask your advice about printer cartridges for the HP LaserJet M1522nf please. This is definitely my model printer. But on the cartridge itself I have the number 'H436CUI', which I don't seem to find anywhere in products online. Do I only need to bother with the printer model, i.e. HP LaserJet M1522n? You say that compatible vs original work equally well. But the compatible is half the price. Am I being mad to pay £70+ for the HP original? Or, is there really something (quality? reliability?) that you are getting at that price? With thanks in advance for your help. Miles

Hi Miles, thanks for your question. I'm happy to help and advise. Providing your printer is a UK bought printer, the cartridges on this page are the correct ones, The number in the product code you gave 436 matches CB436A so I believe they are the same but the code you have might be because its a manufacturer code of the brand you bought (assuming its not original HP).

With regards to whether you buy original or compatible, being absolutely transparent with you, the compatibles are great quality and are guaranteed for 3 years, however, the quality will never be completely equal to the original HP so if quality of print is extremely important to you, I'd stick with original HP. If it isn't, having something that is a great substitute while saving a lot of money makes sense! Remember that our compatible guarantee covers complete satisfaction so if you aren't happy with the quality, let us know and we can arrange a collection / refund.
