Toner Cartridges for the Brother HL-1212W

The Brother HP-1212W prints only in black, making it a popular choice for small offices that need to print documents regularly. Having just one colour to worry about makes replacing the toner much easier and if you're looking to save money consider our compatible alternative.

How do compatible Brother HL-1212W toner cartridges work?

TonerGiant's compatible Brother HP-1212W toner works in exactly the same way genuine products do, the only difference is the price. We believe that printing should be affordable, accessible and environmentally friendly. This is why we use recycled products to create our cartridges and then our customers enjoy the savings that come with this. Our compatible range produces the same 1,000 pages as genuine Brother toner and comes with a three-year guarantee.

Q
Is it possible to buy colour cartridges for a Brother HL 1212W printer, as I only seem to be able to find black ink?

Hi there, thanks for your question. No, it isn't possible as the HL-1212W is a mono laser printer (only prints black).

Q
My printer suddenly stopped printing and there was a flashing red light (just under the white button). I concluded that it needed a new toner and bought one from another retailer for £40. But the red light is still flashing. Can you explain why? The other retailer charged around £40 when toners are available for as little as £13. I have another query about my HP laserjet P1102w. It does not come on when I press the top button. Do I have to replace both machines, should I order another toner?

Hi there, thanks for your message. There could be a number of reasons for the red light. I assume the first printer you mentioned is a Brother HL1212W and here is a link to the Brother website that explains the different reasons for the red light. Brother flashing light reasons. It looks like these do seem to be related to the toner and/or drum unit. Has the new toner cartridge been inserted into the previous drum unit correctly before it was installed into the printer? This could be the reason for the issue. Hopefully, the link will help explain what the problem might be and help you to get the printer working again without needing to buy another toner.

For your HP printer, it could be an issue with the power cord not working anymore, so before you replace the printer it would be worth trying to replace the power cord and seeing if that fixes the issue. Power cords tend to be very similar between different printers so you may be able to test by using the one from your Brother printer but make sure the amps and volt value match to the HP printer so as not to cause any damage. Other than that, it would likely need a technician to take a look at it or to replace the printer, unfortunately. If you need any more help, please let us know!
