Is there a way I can just use the black cartridge within this printer I don’t use the colours in my printer often?

Hi there, you can only use your printer if the coloured cartridges are still fitted into the printer, as this is one of the standard things about inkjet printers as they only work when all the cartridges are in the printer and not empty.
