Small firms using HP printer toner may be able to benefit from a new deal that has seen the manufacturer acquire a services provider.
The company confirmed it has purchased Germany-based Hiflex Software, which specialises in web-to-print and information management services.
HP stated the firm’s technologies will help its Imaging and Printing Group to deliver further innovations for business users and expand its capabilities in cloud-based solutions.
Executive vice-president of the division Vyomesh Yoshi explained the additions will offer HP a powerful platform to help it achieve its cloud printing goals.
“HP wants to break the traditional barriers of how and where business customers print, making it easy for them to produce custom or personalised materials anywhere, anytime,” he said.
The firm is not the only toner cartridges manufacturer to improve its cloud-based services recently, as earlier this week, it was announced that Brother has purchased California-based company Nefsis, which develops web-based remote collaboration and conferencing solutions.
