Ok, so in our last video we showed you how to fix a paper jam.
We know that paper jams are pretty annoying but, by following the few simple steps in that clip, you should be able to resolve them fairly easily.
It should help you to keep your cool, too. Which got us thinking…
How shouldn’t you fix a paper jam?
Well the video below you should give you a good idea as to what to avoid doing if you get a paper jam!
(Note: no golf clubs were harmed in the making of this video. However, one printer unfortunately didn’t survive)
Hiya. So in our last video, if you remember, we showed you how to sort out a paper jam. The three biggest things to take away were, obviously, number one to pull the paper with both fingers (hands) to make sure you don’t tear any of the paper off that could cause any future jams. The second one was obviously to stack the paper evenly as you load it. And number three was obviously to make sure that you don’t put too much paper in at the same time.
Now, we’re going to show you how NOT to solve a paper jam.
Number one, don’t try cutting the jammed paper with scissors.
Number two, don’t try printing more pages. There’s a blockage in there somewhere, it isn’t going to work.
Number three, don’t just start shouting at the printer.
Number four, don’t just give it a smack.
And five, don’t just completely lose it.
So, yeah, that’s not how to sort a paper jam out. Want help with a paper jam? Watch our other video. Thanks for watching.
