Printing has become faint. Do I need a toner cartridge?

Hi there, faint print is normally an indication that the drum unit needs to be replaced but it can also be the toner as well. The best thing to do is print a status page to see how much toner the printer says is left, if it's near empty then get a new toner and see if it fixes the issue. If it says there's quite a bit or the issue isn't corrected with a new toner then try a replacement drum unit.
