How long will the toner last?
There is no difference between compatible and genuine toner cartridges in terms of quality and page yield. The standard toner cartridges available (TN2310) will print around 1,200 pages whereas
the high capacity cartridges (TN2320) can print up to 2,600 pages. You will need to replace the printer's drum unit every 12,000 pages but your printer will notify when this is necessary.

Brother Printer MFC - L2700DW.
I need some advice on replacing the drum, on a printer that is 3 years old, can you assist and let me know the cost?
Also, can I reset the counter, just to get the machine working for the next few days?
Unfortunately, you won't normally be able to get the drum you currently have running again once it needs to be replaced. The only thing you can try is to try to reboot the memory by taking the toner and drum out and then switching the printer off, unplugging for 10 minutes, and then turning everything back on with no cartridges installed, followed by putting them back in again. That might temporarily work but it will be hit and miss I'm afraid.
