How come the Oki C5400 drums are cheaper than the toners but they print a lot more pages? Am I being swindled or am I missing something?

Hi there, we definitely don't want to swindle you! The drum units are actually a maintenance item that doesn't contain powdered toner, therefore they don't actually print and as a maintenance item they last much longer than a toner cartridge and don't need to be replaced as often. The purpose of the drum is to transfer the toner powder from the toner cartridge to the page using static electricity. You can see all maintenance items on the website have a little spanner icon so they don't get confused with toners. I hope this helps! :)
