What's the difference between duty cycle and pages?

Hi and thanks for your question today. The difference between duty cycle and pages or page yield is that duty cycle only applies to the maintenance products for a printer. Maintenance products do not contain any toner powder but are needed for different purposes in the printer. For example, a drum unit is a device that transfers toner to the paper from the toner cartridge and so it has a life span and will need to be replaced eventually. The life span is referred to as the duty cycle. A toner has page yield which is the maximum number of prints that you can get from the toner powder contained in the cartridge.
