Free Next-Working Day Delivery

Printer and ink cartridge manufacturer Epson is looking to expand its operations in the UK by increasing production volumes of its products.

The firm will add four new lines to its factory in Telford, which will allow it to develop an extra 44,000 ink cartridges per day, the Shropshire Star reports.

This could be good news for the local area, as it means the company will be seeking an extra 30 employees to help boost its output levels to cope with the additional demand it is experiencing.

Assistant manager of the plant’s ink business unit Dave Bedford said: “We are expecting increased orders from the European region, but it allows us to work globally as well.”

This may be an important part of Epson’s future business strategy, as the firm recently indicated it will seek to switch its focus towards producing inkjet machines that are suitable for business users, IT Pro Portal reported.
